Room 14 was turned into Japan for the day! Students practiced writing Kanji, counted in Japanese, sang a song, and created a piece of Origami! Students even tried drinking traditional Green Tea!
The first grade was also treated to the musical group Mikata as our school wide assembly! Mikata: means “all of us” in the Ewe language of Ghana. Mikata invited all of us on a musical journey from West Africa to the Caribbean and Brazil.
A great learning experience about culture, diversity and the world around us!
