Well our Nature Walk was foiled by the weather again today (it rained and hailed) however, we did make it out for 20 minutes today! In our short time, we did manage to see a lot of things! Always an adventure with Mrs. Martin! Check out our photos below!
We are experts at identifying straight line walkers, hoppers and waddlers! Check out our photos below!
Today Mrs. Martin and Ms. Paula helped us explore the EcoSystem in our backyard by introducing a Wildlife Camera! We are excited that this camera will be able to track some of the wildlife animals that visit the Wolf Tree Trail on a daily basis. We even tested it out by taking animal roles such as deer, rabbits and hawks. Check out the pictures below!
A gorgeous day for our November Nature Walk! Thank you to Ms. Paula for filling in for Mrs. Martin. We saw a huge difference from our October walk!
Today first grade classes had a Bee Presentation by Lisa Liesener. This is Mrs. Liesener's second time visiting Brewster School. Students were able to see honey bees up close & personal. They also learned the difference between a honey bee and a yellow jacket.
A special thanks to Allen Poole who allowed his bees to visit Brewster School today. Mr. Poole will be at the Discovery Center at the Durham Fair this Saturday, September 26th at 1pm if you would like to hear more information about Bees or if your family has any further questions.
